Creative City Challenge - Best Collaboration Award

For the second time an international panel of experts for Creative City Challenge will grant the BEST COLLABORATION AWARD which is designed to reward five best examples of collaborations between partners from the creative industries sector and science and research institutes, universities or colleges. The focus is on innovative practices over and above traditional business relationships as well as alliances which have achieved exceptional results.

The ‘Creative City Challenge’ project, which is part-funded through the Interreg IVb North Sea Region programme and includes North Sea Screen Partners member Dundee College, aims to foster creativity and innovation in the North Sea Region. Pilot projects such as the BEST COLLABORATION AWARD, developed and run by and in cities throughout the entire North Sea Region, will unlock the potential for creativity and innovation in each partner city and disseminate the results to a transnational audience.

The BEST COLLABORATION AWARD is one of the transnational work packages coordinated by WFB Economic Development Bremen Corp. in its role as the representative of the City of Bremen, together with a further 13 partners from 6 countries within the North Sea Region.

Applications for the BEST COLLABORATION AWARD can be submitted before the deadline of 31 August 2011 by companies operating in the fields of: Advertising, Architecture, Arts and Antique Markets, Crafts, Design, Communication Design, Fashion Design, Film, Video, Photography, Software, Computer Games and Electronic Publishing, Music and the Visual and Performing Arts; Publishing, Television and Radio in collaboration with research institutes, universities or colleges.

At least one of the collaborating organisations’ headquarters has to be situated within the borders of the EU North Sea Region.

The overall winners will be announced at an Award Ceremony on the 24th of November 2011 in Bremen (home to NSSP member nordmedia) as a part of an international conference. There the winners will present their winning project, their services and their outstanding innovative and promising ideas to an international audience, which they have developed together with their business partners in unusual ways.
