UPDATE: Svendborg Film Days

Svendborg Film Days runs from Sunday 26th-Friday 31st August. The festival is co-sponsored by North Sea Screen Partners member FilmFyn, the regional screen fund for Southern Denmark, and is a celebration of film in Southern Fyn, Denmark.

The festival includes the ceremony for the prestigious Svend Prize, which will this year be presented on Wednesday 29th August by Danish actor, composer, songwriter and singer Martin Brygmann. The award is voted on by the audience and films selected are from those that are among the year's most-watched cinema films from 1st July 2011 to 30th June 2012. The audience will have the chance to vote for their favourite film and actor. Organised by Svendborg Municipality in cooperation with FAFID (Association of Film Homes in Denmark), Producers' Association and FilmFyn, this will be the eighth year that the Svend Prize has been awarded.
