Irish Crime at its best? JACK TAYLOR shot in Bremen, Germany

NSSP member nordmedia supports new Irish/German produced crime series: Jack Taylor is a disgraced ex-cop in the Irish city of Galway, ruggedly good-looking, who has become a finder and takes on the cases the police won’t touch. He’s quick to anger and slow to forgive and seems to slide further down the slope of despair every time. But he’s good at what he does because he knows every street in Galway and the seed and breed of everyone in it. Notwithstanding his weaknesses, Jack Taylor has an uncanny ability to know where to look and what questions to ask…

Scottish actor Iain Glen (Tomb Raider, Pope Joan, Law and Order, Game of Thrones) plays Jack Taylor in this new prime time series that is based on the novels by Ken Bruen. The pilot film “The Guards” is completed, and two more – “The Pikemen” and “Magdalen Martyrs” – are in post-production; further episodes are being developed and have already been sold to different territories, including Germany (ZDF).

The series is shot and produced in Galway (Magma Productions) and Bremen (Molten Rock Media GmbH). In 2010, a studio was built in Bremen’s old harbour area, highlighting the flourishing development of Bremen as an attractive location for film and media productions. nordmedia is delighted to support this project.
