WP1-Produce Update on Achievements
Produce is about fostering business development in the North Sea Region screen industries
Goals
Produce aimed to provide research and industry information and facilitate business development and cooperation in the context of new technologies, advanced communications and a growing sector.
Achievements
The Produce team worked closely to develop business models and online tools with a view to promoting links between media clusters and companies to enable them to be competitive and make the most of opportunities and organised many events to encourage investment and partnership.
Achievements are:
- Mapping of NSR as a media production hub to support improved marketing and promotion and attraction of inward investment and production
- Establishing a business development platform and fostering cooperation and co-production in the industry
- Fostering co-production and helping independent producers to produce films such as the Digital Innovation Shorts premiered at the Berlin Film Festival in 2013
- Running and hosting more than 150 networking events and seminars at NSSP and international conferences and industry events to help SMEs develop their business knowledge and use of funding, partnership and co-production and improve productivity.
